Stephen C. Moerman

KOONTZ LAKE – Stephen Moerman of Koontz Lake passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 in his home following an illness. He was born on November 14, 1949 in South Bend to Eugene and Lorraine (Tiede) Moerman and just turned 72 years-old on the day before his death. Steve lived in the area most of his life and was a well-known Contractor. He loved golfing and fishing as was evident by belonging to golf leagues at Hamlet, Swan Lake, and Whispering Pines golf courses. Steve was a fun-loving guy that always had a good joke. He is survived by one son Jack (Elizabeth) Moerman of Valparaiso; five grandchildren Hannah L. Moerman, Heidee E. Moerman, Paytin F. Chesak, Maycee E. Moerman, and Jackson C. Moerman; and his mother Lorraine Moerman of Koontz Lake. He is preceded in death by his father and one sister Cynthia Wood. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 CST Monday, November 22, 2021 at the Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. It was Steve’s wishes to be cremated and have his ashes spread.
