Sonja L Bierly

WALKERTON – Sonja L. Bierly passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness. She was born on February 11, 1950 in West Virginia to the late Charles and Reatha (Rookstool) Vandall and was 71 years-old at the time of her death. She lived in the area most of her life and was well known serving customers as a Clerk. On June 26, 1981 she married Ted Bierly who survives. Sonja was well known in the area and was liked by all. Most of all her family was her life. Sonja is survived by her loving husband Ted of Walkerton; one son Mike Ross of Tyner; one daughter Wendy (Richard) Duckett of Walkerton; two stepdaughters Rhonda (Jeffrey) Hurford of Walkerton and Marlene Shively of Rochester; fourteen grandchildren; several wonderful great-grandchildren; one brother John (Elaine) Vandall of Plymouth; and one sister Paulina Hurford of Argos. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Dean Vandall. There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 EST Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 EST also on Wednesday, January 5 at the funeral home
