WALKERTON-Pauline Marie Knowlton, 90, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Millers Merry Manor, Walkerton. Mrs. Knowlton was born September 6, 1920 in LaPorte County, IN to Lewis and Edith (Dipert) Kelver and lived in the area all of her life. On April 9, 1939 in Walkerton she was married to Harold Ross Knowlton, who preceded her in death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son and wife, David and Wanda Jean Knowlton; three brothers and six sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Katherine (Carl) Delaney of Lafayette and Sharon (Ray) Halsey of Tyner; two sons, Jerry (Nancy) Knowlton and Gene (Diane) Knowlton, all of North Liberty; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren and special friend, Betty Hostrawser of Walkerton. Mrs. Knowlton was a homemaker. She was a member of the Walkerton United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Johnson Township Home Demonstration Club, the LaPorte County Farm Bureau and was a Johnson Township 4-H Leader. The family would like to thank everyone at Millers Merry Manor of Walkerton for the care they provided to their mother. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) at the Walkerton United Methodist Church with Pastor Charlene Allen and Pastor Tim Davis officiating. Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. ET at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel and Tuesday at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Walkerton United Methodist Church.
