Margaret R. Roeslen-Sonntag

OBER-Margaret R. Roeslen-Sonntag, 94, of Westmont, IL, formerly of Ober passed away Friday, September 16, 2011 in her home in Westmont. Margaret was born March 8, 1917 in Wheaton, IL to Clyde and Edith (Chadwick) Newman. On October 19, 1940 in Wheaton, IL she was married to William Roeslen, who preceded her in death in 1985. On January 20, 1990 in Knox, IN she was married to George Sonntag, who preceded her in death in 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, one sister and one step-great-grandchild. Survivors include two daughters, Susan (John) Walsh of Clarendon Hills, IL and Judith (Rich) Singleton of Knox; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five step-children and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Margaret was a retired secretary with the Starke County Welfare Department and a member of the First Christian Church of Knox. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 12:00 Noon (Central Time) in Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Burial will be at the Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox. Friends may call Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon CT at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the First Christian Church of Knox.
