Madeline "Snookie" Tessner

GROVERTOWN-Madeline J. "Snookie" Tessner, 69, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 in Catherine Kasper Home, Donaldson. Mrs. Tessner was born January 9, 1942 in Chicago to Henry and Juanita (Mashaw) Sobieck and lived in the area since 1970, coming from Gary, IN. On April 30, 1960 in Chicago she was married to David Tessner Sr., who preceded her in death in 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents and many bothers and sisters. Survivors include two sons, David (Julie) Tessner Jr. of Koontz Lake and Donald (Peggy) Tessner of Knox; one daughter, Pam Singleton of Knox; seven grandchildren; two great granddaughters and two brothers Don and Fred Sobieck. She was a homemaker and attended St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Knox. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. (Central Time) in Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Burial will be at the Grovertown Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. CT and Wednesday after 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Starke County Humane Society.
