Lynn I Borton

December 24, 1944 - April 19, 2022

Lynn I. Borton “Windy”, 77, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2022. He was born on December 24, 1944 in Plymouth, IN to James L. Borton and Helen C. (Nelson) Borton. Lynn was a lifelong resident of the North Liberty/Walkerton area. He attended North Liberty schools. Lynn was employed by and retired from AM General after 35 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion in Walkerton. On June 3, 2017 he married Monica Wise, who survives. He is also survived by his Son, Tony Borton, of Walkerton; Daughters, Pamela Fox of Bremen, Kimmy McCallum of Bourbon; Stepdaughter ,Jamie Linback of Knox; Stepson, Casey Linback of Walkerton; Grandchildren, Jeremy Fox of South Bend, Evan Fox of Teegarden, Tosha (Kendrick) Cox of Osceola, Karissa (Brayden) Green of Walkerton, Nickolas (Miranda) McCallum of North Judson, Oaklen Clemons of Knox; Eight Great-Grandchildren. Also surviving are Brothers Terry (Darlene) of North Liberty, Dale (Lorraine) of Walkerton, Glen (Pam) of South Bend; Sisters, Zella Luallen of Galesburg, IL, Alma (Earl) Free of South Bend and his beloved Nephew Lawrence “Bugs”, as well as many other nieces and nephews. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents; Wife of 13 years Shirley (Justice) Borton; Brothers, Howard, James, Keith, Merle, Carl, and Sister, Iona Cole. A special thank you to Grace Hospice for giving such loving care. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice 5838 West Brick Rd Suite 101 South Bend, IN 46628.
