NORTH LIBERTY- Louise May Zellers, 86, went home peacefully with Jesus on September 15, 2018, with her children by her side. Louise was born November 28, 1931 in Mishawaka, IN to Harold and Beatrice May (Unruh) Cole. On October 14, 1951 in Mishawaka, IN, she was married to Glen J. Zellers, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Kirby Zellers; grandsons, Zechariah Cunningham and Donnie Peverelle; sisters, Doris Boettcher and Trudy Clyburn; and brothers, Lyle, Floyd, Delbert, Phillip, Stanley and Dwayne Cole. She is survived by children, Linda (Pat) Chenoweth of South Bend, Gary (Diane DeFontes) Zellers of South Bend, Mark (Carol) Zellers of Walkerton, and Kent Zellers of Jacksonville, FL; daughter-in-law, Donna Perverelle of Argos; nine grandchildren, Adam (Molly) Chenoweth, Heather (Julio) Chenoweth, Jessica Redd, Joshua, Luke and Veronica Zellers, and Kevin, Ashley and Stephani Peverelle; seven great-grandchildren, Dillon and Cadence Chenoweth, Gabriel Rodriquez, Brooklyn, C. J. and Zaylah Redd and Cayson Peverelle; special friend, who was like a daughter, Brenda (Keith) Walorski; brother, Harold (Mary) Cole of South Bend; three sisters, Gladys Gerschoffer of Stevensville, MI, Patricia(Chico) Levan of South Bend and Thelma (Frank) Zappia of Mishawaka; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Louise was a member of the Beaver Creek Wesleyan Church of North Liberty for over 40 years. She was a woman of great faith, who trusted God for everything and was very active in her church. Louise loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. They were the loves of her life. She also enjoyed spending time outside watching the birds, sitting outside drinking her coffee and walking around her yard. When you left her house she always said, "watch out for the deer". Louise would go for walks with her friends, out to lunch and enjoyed the North Liberty bakery. She was known for giving everyone $2 bills in the cards she gave them. Listening and watching her Christian programs was a joy to her. She was always "Grandma Louise" to everyone. All of her grandchildren loved her banana bread, but most of all, she was known for her hugs and love for Jesus. "Her children will rise up and call her blessed" Proverbs 31:28 The family would like to thank Miller's Merry Manor in New Carlisle and Hart to Hart Hospice for their wonderful loving care of their mother. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. (EDT) at the North Liberty Church of Christ with Pastor Steve Runyon officiating. Burial will follow at the Westlawn Cemetery, North Liberty. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (EDT) at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake and Thursday at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to Kids Wish Network at www.kidswishnetwork.org or St. Labre Indian School at www.stlabre.org.
