KOONTZ LAKE – Leslie Willard Davison Jr. passed away on Monday April 26, 2021 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka following an illness. He was born on July 15, 1932 in Benton Harbor, MI to the late Leslie W. and Jessie (Foster) Davison Sr. and was 88 years-old at the time of his death. He lived in the area since 1986 coming from Lansing, IL and was a retired Quality Control Foreman at Allis Chalmers in Harvey, IL. Leslie married the love of his life, Janet Faverty, on June 28, 1958 in Chicago. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in the Korean War and a member of the American Legion Post 189 in Walkerton. He was past owner of the Koontz House Bed & Breakfast, a past member of the Grovertown United Methodist Church and current member of the Hamlet United Methodist Church, a member of the Tin Can Sailors Association, the Destroyer Escort Association and the Model A Restorers Club. He was also a past member of the Indiana Bed & Breakfast Association and a ten-year member of the Lansing, IL Fire Dept. Leslie is survived by his wife Janet of Koontz Lake; one daughter Linda (Dennis) Croy of Plymouth; one son Leslie A. Davison of Koontz Lake; ten grandchildren Luke, Joshua, Amy, Caleb, Jessianna, Elli, Haddi, Kyle, Ezra, and Kaitlynn; and eleven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister Juanita Stachura; and two brothers Richard and Everett Davison. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 CDT Saturday May 1, 2021 at the Hamlet United Methodist Church. Visiting hours will be held from Noon to 1:00 CDT Saturday May 1, also at the church. Burial will follow at Grovertown Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Koontz Lake Library or the Hamlet United Methodist Church. The family and church request everyone wear a facemask and follow all Covid guidelines and recommendations.
