Larry A. Kensinger Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

HAMLET-Larry A. Kensinger, 73, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012 in his home. Larry was born July 24, 1939 in Mishawaka, IN to Harvey and Marie (Blum) Kensinger and lived in the area all of his life. On April 11, 1959 in Hamlet, he was married to the former Lois Watson. Survivors include his wife, Lois; one daughter, Cory (John) Wilson of Knox; three sons, Rick (Kathie) Kensinger of Hamlet, Randy (Toni) Kensinger of Fishers and Keith Kensinger of Hamlet; 12 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters and one sister, MaryAnn (Lon) Bolen of Greenwood. He was preceded in death by his parents. Larry was a farmer and a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Knox. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Knox and belonged to many civic and charitable organizations. He and his wife wintered in Estero, FL for 25 years and he was an avid golfer and tennis player. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. (Central Time) at St. Thomas Aquinas Church Knox with Rev. Father Rick Holy officiating. Burial will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. CT and Wednesday from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
