GROVERTOWN-Kathleen J. Loftus, 82, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in her home. Mrs. Loftus was born March 19,1930 in Chicago, Il to Martin and Margaret (Clarke) Smith and lived in the area most of her life. On June 11, 1949, she was married to John M. Loftus, who preceded her in death in 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son, Martin. Survivors include: two daughters, Kathy Hart of Hamlet and Roberta Webb-Quimby of Grovertown; three sons, Michael Loftus of St. Joseph, MI, Patrick Loftus of Grovertown and John Loftus of Hamlet; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Loftus was the former owner of Kate's Kozy Korner in Grovertown. Funeral services will be Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. (Central time) in Rannells Funeral Home Koontz Lake Chapel. Burial will be at the Grovertown Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 12:00 noon until the times of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care.
