John M. Kuechenberg

KNOX-John M. Kuechenberg, 12, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012 in IU Health Starke Hospital, Knox, IN. John was born July 21, 1999 in Winamac, IN to Gary and Cindy (Hignite) Kuechenberg and lived in the area all of his life. Survivors include: his parents, Gary and Cindy Kuechenberg of Knox; four siblings, Anna, Nathanael, Mary Joy and Seth Kuechenberg and grandparents, Maryann Kuechenberg of Highland, IN, Sharon Burnett of Georgia and Michael Cox. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Alfred Kuechenberg and one brother, Stacy. John recently began attending Eagle Creek Church. He was very gifted musically, possessing the ability to play many instruments. He loved mechanics and fixing everything in the house. He had the unique experience of co-piloting an airplane around Starke County and he also developed a recent interest in gardening. He practiced blacksmithing, he was good with animals, he was an avid reader and a very good cook. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. (Central Time) at Eagle Creek Church where friends may call Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday after 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at the Eagle Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family. Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel is handling arrangements.
