John Calvin Clark, 80, of Walkerton, IN, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013, in Arcadia, Florida. He was born on July 10, 1932, in Joliet, IL to the late Cleo and Anne (Rabbitt) Clark. On January 6, 1990, in Plymouth, IN, he married the former Anna (Yesberger) Koch. John is survived by his wife, Anna, and his children; Mike (Shelly) Clark, Connie (Daniel) Benson, Michele (Brian) Seese, and Kent (Patty) Koch all of Walkerton, eleven grandchildren; Melissa Clark, Michelle (Ethan) Marosz, Sarah Knowlton, Kyle (Megan) Stull, Karlyn Stull, Zachary, Sam, Zoe, and Zane Seese, Brannigan (Paul) Stackman, and Kristen Keehn, and one great grandchild, Trinity Stackman. He is also survived by two brothers; Paul, of Sacramento CA, and Randy, of Spokane, WA, a sister, Martha (John) Kaminski of Grovertown, IN and a sister-in-law, Carol Clark, of LaPorte, IN, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; William, Larry, and Steve. John was a proud Veteran and served in the 3rd Army Infantry during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Walkerton American Legion Post 189, and the Walkerton United Methodist Church. He retired from the CSX Railroad where he worked as a clerk. He enjoyed playing golf and shooting pool. He loved sports, especially his beloved Chicago Cubs. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 25th at 11:00 a.m. at the Walkerton United Methodist Church, 1000 Georgia Street, Walkerton, with a military graveside service to follow at Morris Cemetery, Teegarden, IN. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Walkerton United Methodist Church.
