KNOX-Dorothy M. (Steinberg) Singleton, 95, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 in Golden Living Center, Knox, IN. Dorothy was born January 10, 1918 in Lacrosse, IN to Julius and Lela (Hancock) Steinberg and lived in the area all of her life. On March 3, 1937 in Knox, IN, she was married to Donald R. Singleton, who preceded her in death in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Thompson; two sisters; one brother; and one step-sister. Survivors include two sons, Ronald Singleton and Richard Singleton, both of Knox; one daughter, Sharon Singleton of Warsaw; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker, a member of the Knox United Methodist Church, the Knox Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary and the Gleaners Local Homemaker's Club. Funeral services will be Monday, July 22, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. CST in Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel with Pastor Bill Talbott officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Knox. Friends may call Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Knox United Methodist Church, the AseraCare Hospice of Valparaiso or Golden Living Center, Knox.
