Doris E. Winters

KNOX-Doris E. Winters, 85, of Largo, FL, formerly of Knox, passed away January 17, 2012 in her home in Largo, FL. Doris was born January 22, 1926 in Bremen, IN to James and Odetta (Mobie) Kipfer and lived in Largo for five years, coming from Knox. On July 31, 1965, she was married to Robert Winters, who preceded her in death in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Linda Braun and Rebecca Jensen and two sisters, Delores and Dorothy. Survivors include five grandchildren, Cherie (Paul Maccihone) Braun-Diaz of Seminole, FL, Todd Braun of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, Brent Braun of Winamac, Drew (Lisa) Braun of Belleair Beach, FL and Melissa (Nathan) Dennis of Winamac; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Norma Trine of Tipton, IN and her beloved dog, Erin. Doris was the Starke County Veteran Service Officer for 17 years. She worked in the Starke County Treasurer's office for several years and was the past-secretary of the Starke County Democrat Central Committee and the past- president of the Pulaski County Democrat Women's Club. Funeral services will be Monday, January 30, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. (Central Time) in Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel with Rev. Ed Hasnerl officiating. Burial will be at Fletcher Cemetery, Hamlet. Friends may call Monday after 12:00 noon until the time of services.
