Walkerton - Doris Brenon Crane, 94, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Crane was born January 1, 1920 in Carthage, NY to Preston and Ellen (Dillon) Brenon and lived in the area since 1979. On December 19, 1940, in Carthage, NY, she was married to Richard Crane Sr., who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Charlie Brenon, Ellen Zehr, Florence Rowe, and Preston Brenon. Survivors include three sons, Richard (Barbara) Crane Jr. of Copenhagen, NY, Kevin (Karen) Crane of Antioch, CA, and Steven (Mary) Crane of Walkerton; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Gladyce (Vincent) Farney of Carthage, NY. Mrs. Crane was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Walkerton. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, March 7, 2014 at 12:00 Noon (Eastern Time) at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Walkerton with Rev. Father Jan Klimczyk officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Copenhagen, NY. Friends may call Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. A Rosary Service will be held Thursday at 5:00 p.m. ET at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Harbor Lights Hospice of South Bend.
