Dolores G. Clemons

KNOX-Dolores G. Clemons, 83, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in IU Health, LaPorte Hospital. Mrs. Clemons was born March 10, 1929 in Knox, IN to William and Agnes (Britton) Alberding and lived in the area all of her life. On June 23, 1989 in Knox, she was married to Merdie Clemons, who preceded her in death in 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Lois Clemons and one grandson, Gary Cook. Survivors include: one son, Joe (Libby) Clemons of Argos; two daughters, Judy Cook of Ft. Wayne and Janice (Jerry) Salyers of Knox; six grandchildren, Heather Van Voorhis, Erica Tyler, Rachel Allen, Brent Cook, Tiffany Temple and Amie White; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis Rees of Sun City, AZ and one brother, Wayne Alberding of North Judson. Mrs. Clemons was a retired nurse's aid and was a member of the First Christian Church of Knox. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. (Central Time) in Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Burial will follow at Eagle Creek Cemetery, Knox. Friends may call Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the First Christian Church of Knox.
