Delores V. Brovold

Koontz Lake - Delores "Dee" V. Brovold, 88, passed away quietly in her home on Thursday, September 25, 2014, with her family by her side. Delores was born December 26, 1925 in Chicago, IL to Roy and Mary Wellander. On July 17, 1948, in Chicago, she married Ernest Brovold, who preceded her in death . She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son, Scott Brovold. Living at Koontz Lake for over 62 years, she and her husband raised four children. Survivors include three children; Deborah (Jim) Hostetler of Koontz Lake, Doug (Laura) Brovold of Walkerton and Greg (Misty) Brovold of Walkerton; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her caregiver, Debbie Holland. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Donaldson, where she enjoyed singing in the choir for many years, the Order of Eastern Star,and Tri Kappa Sorority. She also enjoyed the winters in Bradenton, FL. A memorial service will be held Monday, September 29, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) in Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel with Pastor Dennis Wenzel officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
