Argos – Dean C. Holderread, age 94, passed away on Saturday, May 2 at the Catherine Kasper Life Center in Donaldson following an illness. He was born on June 6, 1925 in Mishawaka to John and Delcie (Lemert) Holderread, both who precede his death. He lived in Argos for 32 years coming from Donaldson and was a retired meat cutter at the former G & G Supermarket in Plymouth. In 1946 in North Liberty he married Delores Reed, who also preceded him in death. In 1985 he married Agnes (Logan) Bradley, who also preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served in WWII, was the former Pastor at Trinity Tabernacle Church in Donaldson, was the former owner of Dean’s Print Shop in Plymouth, and formerly attended the Highway Chapel Church of God in Hamlet. Dean is survived by one daughter Vickie (Ben) Burger of Lorida, FL; two sons Arlen (Patricia) Holderread and Jim (Sandy) Holderread all of Plymouth; four step-daughters Lisa Styrkul of WI, Connie (Gerald) Sibbel of Wanatah, Lora (Jeff) Fishburn of Argos, and Mary (Keely) Bradley of Buchanan, MI; two step-sons Kenny (Kathy) Bradley of Kewanna and Michael Bradley of Culver; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, both wives, one step-daughter, one sister, and three brothers. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, private Funeral Services will be held with burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Argos. The Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel has been entrusted with his care.
