CULVER – Daniel Hatter passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, June 13, 2022 at the age of 70 following a long battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Oliver and Thelma Bailey Hatter. Dan met his soulmate and love, Patty Insco, in 1970 and they were married in 1972 and they had three children. One of his loves was fishing in Canada and Minnesota. He enjoyed it with family and friends. Dan served proudly in the US Army until his honorable discharge in September, 1972. Dan is survived by: wife Patty; one daughter Stephanie (Brett) Bunton; two sons Bill (Theresa) Hatter and Tony Hatter; two brothers Dave (Denee) Hatter and Ron (Lisa) Hatter; sister Laurie (Dale) Hayn; sister-in-law Wendy (Mark Ley) Hatter; Aunts Dorothy (Corbin) Caudill, and Carolyn (Paul) Banfy; mother-in-law Rosie Insco; eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Rick Hatter Visiting hours will be from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM EDT on Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. It was Dan’s wishes to be cremated, which will follow his visitation. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Rannells Funeral Home to assist with Dan's final expenses.
