Dale B. McCord

HAMLET-Dale B. McCord, 82, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 in Pilgrim Manor, Plymouth, IN. Dale was born September 23, 1930 in Madison County, IN to Ray and Dolly (Roller) McCord and lived in the area since 1965, coming from Frankton, IN. On August 23, 1974 in Hamlet, he was married to the former Betty Shannon, who preceded him in death in 2012. He was also preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Judy Ann Locke; and three brothers. Survivors include daughter, Susan (Richard) Sandberg of Michigan City; four grandchildren, Christy Sandberg, Rebecca Locke, Kimberly (Jerry Jr.) Fogus and Rachel (Jeremiah) Jackson and six great-grandchildren, Jessi, Dale, J.R., Willa, RaeAnne and Judith. He was the owner of Dale's Garage in Hamlet and retired from Walmart in Plymouth. He was a lifetime member and past-president of the Northern Indiana Historical Power Association. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. CST in Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel where friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be a graveside service Thursday at 3:00 p.m. EST at the K of P-I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton, IN.
