Betty M. Reiss

KNOX-Betty M. Reiss, 75, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012 in her home. Betty was born December 1, 1936 in Knox, IN to Tennis and Helen (Fagan) Singleton Sr. and lived in the area all of her life. On December 25, 1957 in Knox, IN, she was married to Edward W. Reiss Sr., who survives. Also surviving are: two daughters, Mary Ann Mullins and Helen Reiss, both of Knox; two sons, Eddie Reiss Jr. and Tennis Reiss, both of Knox; three brothers, Ray Singleton of Grovertown and Joe Singleton and Tennis Singleton Jr., both of Knox; one sister, Ruby Snyder of Knox; ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and fourteen brothers and sisters. She was a retired custodian with Knox High School. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 12:00 noon (Central Time) in Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Burial will be in the Fletcher Cemetery, Hamlet. Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Michigan City Hospice.
