Anna I. Adams

KOONTZ LAKE-Anna I. Adams, 84, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 in her home after an extended illness. Anna was born March 31, 1928 in Goshen, IN to Greely and Ada (Whitcomb) DePew. On November 20, 1949 in North Liberty she was married to Gene L. "Diny" Adams, who preceded her in death in 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Leslie Hazelbaker, three sisters and one brother. Survivors include: one son, William (Merci) Adams of Koontz Lake; three grandsons, Nicholas, Thomas and William Adams, all of Denver, CO; five great-grandchildren, all of Denver, CO and six step-great-grandchildren, all of Elkhart, IN. Anna was a homemaker and a 62 year member of the North Liberty American Legion Auxiliary Post #365. There will be no visitation. A private service will be held at a later date. Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel is handling arrangements.
