Geraldine L. Trigg

Geraldine L. “Gerry” Trigg, 95, of Knox, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026, following an illness. She was born on May 3, 1930, in Knox to the late Chester and Lillian (Byrne) Emigh. Gerry lived a long and meaningful life centered on faith, family, and the simple joys that brought her happiness. On June 5, 1948, in Knox, she married the love of her life, Robert Trigg. Together they shared 75 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2023. Gerry had several occupations throughout her life, with the most recent one being her dental work as a dental assistant, where her gentle nature and warm smile helped put countless patients at ease. She was a devoted member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Knox and remained deeply rooted in her faith throughout her life. She found great joy in traveling to Wisconsin several times each year, especially when it meant time spent fishing and making memories with loved ones. Gerry also enjoyed crocheting, but her greatest pride was found in tending to her garden and caring for her flowers, which reflected her nurturing spirit. Above all else, she dearly loved her family and treasured every moment spent with them. Gerry is lovingly remembered by her four children, Dennis (Esther) Trigg of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, Denise (Dennis) Pitts of Knox, Dr. David (Karen) Trigg of Greenwood, and Dee Ann (Greg) Keehn of Knox; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Robert; and three sisters. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. CST on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. CST at the funeral home, with burial in Eagle Creek Cemetery, Knox. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of Gerry’s great-granddaughter, Madelyn Rae Doucey, who is one of St. Jude’s Little Warriors.
