Dennis Goble Sr.

Dennis R. Goble Sr., of Hamlet, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Brickyard Healthcare, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 23, 1948, in Knox, he was the son of the late Chester and Dolma (Jensen) Goble. He was 78 years old at the time of his passing. Dennis lived his entire life in the area he loved. On January 3, 1976, in Knox, he married the love of his life, Debbie (Morris), who survives. Together they built a life centered on hard work, devotion, and family. A simple man with an unmatched work ethic, Dennis was known by all as one of the hardest working individuals you could ever meet. Even well into his 70s, he could outwork men half his age, never slowing down and never backing away from a task. He spent many years working for Nordstrom Construction, but to many he was best known for the countless odd jobs he took on throughout the years and his knack for “collecting,” earning him the familiar nickname, “The Junkman.” Dennis attended Christ Gospel Church in LaPorte and found joy in the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time outside whenever he could. Above all else, he loved his family deeply and unconditionally and nothing brought him more pride than being surrounded by those he loved. He is survived by his devoted wife, Debbie; three children, Jaime (Brack) Rowe, Dennis Goble Jr., and Tara (Ryan) Pitts; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Kroa and Jane (Tony) Staniford; and one brother, Dale Goble. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Billy Adams; six sisters; and five brothers. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. CDT on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial to take place in Fletcher Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with final expenses. Dennis will be remembered for his tireless work ethic, his love for the outdoors, and most of all, his unwavering devotion to his family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him
