Clyde Singleton

Clyde R. “Buster” Singleton of Grovertown passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in his home. He was 63 years old. Born on September 23, 1962, in Knox, Indiana, Buster was the beloved son of the late Ronald and Ruby (Bottorff) Singleton. He lived life with a smile, a quick wit, and an unmistakable personality that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Buster spent many years as a truck driver with Don Sinn Trucking before retiring. He then continued to work on the farm for Matt Lawrence. A hardworking man, he took pride in providing for his family while making countless miles on the open road. On August 6, 2001, he married the love of his life, Anita (Knepper), in Kentucky, beginning a marriage filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories. When he wasn’t behind the wheel, Buster could usually be found on his small family farm, where he enjoyed tending to the cows and spending quality time with those he loved. He found peace casting a fishing line and fondly remembered the camping trips he enjoyed in his younger years. Never one to shy away from sharing his opinions, Buster became well known among family and friends for his active presence on social media, where his outspoken posts often landed him in the familiar confines of “Facebook jail”—a fact he wore almost as a badge of honor and laughed about often. Above all else, Buster was a devoted family man. Nothing brought him greater happiness than being surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and the people he loved most. Whether sharing stories, teasing the grandkids, or simply enjoying a quiet evening together, he treasured every moment spent with his family. His humor, generous heart, and love for life will be deeply missed but forever remembered. Buster is survived by his loving wife, Anita Singleton; four children, Michelle Williams, Crystal (Tony Tauberschmidt) Singleton, Ashley Fields, and Ryan Montague; fifteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ron “Spunk” (Tammy) Singleton and Dave “Skeeter” (Debbie) Singleton; one sister, Becky (Roy) McCray; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Ruby Singleton, and two sisters, Wanda Woods and Donna Daren. Honoring Buster’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and his family will celebrate his life with a family-directed Celebration of Life at a later date. Though his journey has come to an end, Buster’s laughter, love, and unforgettable spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
